How To Make A Vanilla Whipped Body Butter

How To Make A Vanilla Whipped Body Butter

The Rich Body Butter: One a good Saturday evening, I went into the Lab and realised that I have been making the same thing over and over again.  Same products, same recipe with a little tweaking.

I thought how mundane it is HOWEVER, knowing how much I loved to do it anyway, I decided to whip two butters: Lemon Body Meringue Butter (a favourite of mine and others, best seller too & a different one with Vanilla).

Then I set to work. Hand gloves, hair tied, Sanitized all utensils and work space and then, I set to work!

Everyone and every blog post has a recipe on Body Butter with fancy names so it’s a quick steal to make one easily, if you like. The issue lies with the skin type  Body Butters cannot be used on all skin types so a little tweaking and adjustments can make all the difference.

Body Butter

The Lemon Body Meringue Butter is usually done easily because I have made them innumerable times but I’ve never made two different recipes in one sitting.

The result of this was a very rich, textured Body Butter with Vanilla enriched with Vitamins, Calcium, Magnesium and has the ability to keep you moisturize all day long, slow down aging process on dry, normal and combination skin types.

You can purchase it here

Ofcourse, I had to scoop mine before putting them in tubs and labelling them for retail.

Here was the list of things I used:

  • A huge bowl
  • Measuring spoon
  • Table spoon
  • Carrier oils
  • Vanilla Absolute
  • Butters
  • Beeswax
  • Electric Beaters

The process was relatively long (because I made the Meringue before this one) and the ingredients sat for a while for using them. I thought it was going to be the worst ever but it’s actually Gold.

The Preparation:

I have used all natural, plant derived ingredients to formulate this Body Butter. Thanks to Mango Butter for its less greasy texture. The oils were cherry picked based on their absorption rate and it is amazing so far.

I think you’re going to love this luscious, sweet Vanilla Whipped Body Butter. Great for this rainy season and the coming Harmattan. You can send me one to see how great you’ve done, otherwise, share with your friends and family. Happy whipping and make sure it is soft, fluffy and cloud like!

How To Make A Vanilla Whipped Body Butter: Soft, Fluffy And Rich Butter

  • Carrier Oils
  • Vanilla Absolute
  • Beeswax
  • Vitamin E oil
  • Butters

  1. In a huge bowl, put Butters (I used Cocoa Butter) & Beeswax in a microwave to melt thoroughly. I did about a full minute- three minutes bursts. Beeswax is hard to melt
  2. When melted thoroughly, hold for about 45 minutes to cool. At this point, I had already started making the Meringue Butter so time went past, swiftly.
  3. As soon as I noticed the melted ingredients were cool, I added a drop of Vitamin E oil, 1/4 cups of Rice Bran Oil, 1/2 spoon of Sesame Seed Oil. These are very light oils and have no smell whatsoever.
  4. I followed with 1/4 cup of Mango Butter. This is a very soft butter so it’s melting point is different to Cocoa Butter. (Cocoa Butter used was 1/2 spoon and beeswax was grated to about 1 spoon)
  5. When the Wax looked Waxy and began to form on the surface of the bowl, I stirred the ingredients to allow the unmelted Mango Butter mix properly and get dissolved.
  6. A quick pop into the fridge was done to allow the ingredients get a little solid. The top part was beige coloured and solid but the ingredients inside were still marshy and a little solid. Atleast, no longer in liquid form. This was about 30 minutes.
  7. I took to the beaters and whipped the entire mixture for another 20 minutes in full speed.
  8. 4 drops of Vanilla Absolute was added into it and whipping continued for 10 minutes more
  9. Check texture to ensure that it is soft and fluffy. Do a test to make sure it sinks into skin
  10. Scoop into sterilised tub/ jars and label
