How To Make A Salad
Salad are pretty easy to make and it’s amazing fun facts to know a simple salad can make you glow from the inside out.
Eating Salads is one the quickest ways to lose weight and get that glass fresh skin from the inside out.
As you are what you eat, it’s more fun when it’s done using your favourites.
Salads are usually eaten before a main dish but it can easily be a main dish if you decide to make a big one.
The best part is that you’d be able to make the best out of Vitamins, Fiber, Minerals and all the classes of food in a simple way- just throw in your favourite veggies and you’re good to go!
Let go of the boring conventional greens you hate and eat what you love without the “yuck”. Usually, a simple olive oil infused with garlic & herbs help reduce the factor.
How do you like fleshy leafy veggies? I mean the greens? Think Lettuce- Iceberg or Spinach. Remember Popeye, the Cartoon? These are nutritious, mostly water and filling. Does it help to say it’s low in calories? As they say “the darker the berry, the sweeter the juice”, I tell you, the darker the green, the more nutritious it is. So there, you have the greens- Lettuce. Get it in, your body will love it’s low calorie count of 20.
Enter Fruits. Think of juicy berries. What are your favourites? Blackberries, Blueberries, Raspberries? Get some sliced Apples, Pomegranate. Both have 30 and 40 calories respectively for 1/2 cups. All small servings but packed with mighty antioxidants.
What could we eat without Proteins To helped build body tissues and skin? Protein has been building blocks of life from time immemorial. MY favourite are seafood. Shrimps, Prawns, Yum! You might prefer chicken stripes or smoked chicken. You’d easily get 75 calories from 1/4 cups of chopped chicken or sliced eggs. 80 calories for 1/2 can of Tuna.
Green Beans? Peas? These make excellent toppings for only 20 calories. Reddish, Carrots, Tomatoes, Cucumber and my fave- Avocados are fanastic to add in the mix. They’d just don’t give salads that bright colourful appeal.

250 Calories won’t hurt you but get the yum factor instead from 2 ounces of shredded Mozzarella Cheese, if Cheddar would make you feel guilty.
I could snack on Almonds all day. If they’re your favourite, get crushed or grounded Almonds or substitute that with your favourite nuts. How do you like Pecans, by the way? The hearts will beat with joy for these richness in polyunsaturated & monounsaturated fatty acids and glycerol. You’d also get an incredible amount of Omega 3 fatty acids for only 90 calories.
IF you remembered “SALT BAE” early in the year, finesse your salad with your dressing of choice like he does his meat. Mine is usually yummy enough to consume by itself. For lower calorie counts, use freshly squeeze lime or lemon juice.
In total, how many calories would that have been? That’s the simple math for an amazing skin and delicious consumption. Yum Yum Yum!

Here’s one recipe
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh tomatoes
- 1/4 cup of chopped cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup of raw green peas (oh I love Edamame)
- 1/4 cup of sliced or grated carrots
- 1cup of Iceberg Lettuce
- 1/6 cup of berries
- 1/4 cups of sliced green apples
- 1 squeezed lemon
- 1/2 cup of smoked chopped chicken breasts or stripes
- 1/4 cups of grounded almonds
- 2 eggs- chopped or sliced in oval shape
- Throw them into a large bowl with simple discretion and enjoy the yumness in your tummy.
- Get the zest with warm water and sliced lemon to speed up the body metabolism
